Paladins and Resources

Okay, so I've decided to start this extremely adventurous foray into Dalglish's world with The Paladins series. This series is the first because of several reasons

  1. It was, in my opinion, the most simple of Dalglish's series. Not bad, not awful, far from it, one of the best series out there. But it was simple. No great complicated plots, no complex stories, just the simple Hit the bad guy with cool-as-all-hell sword, win fight, the end. Simple yet extremely effective.
  2. It was the first series I ever read, and so the one I feel can replicate the most. Other series, such as Shadowdance, I could only do after a bit more experience under my belt.
  3. The ending of Broken Pieces. Enough said.
So, yeah. Paladins. Which means the first campaign is Night of Wolves. God help me.

In case you're wondering, I've already started work on the first mission in the campaign. All I need is a bit more time.

Also, Dalglish fans, please not I will be changing the story a bit *Ducks flying arrows from enraged Dalglish fans* I know, I know, a curse of Karak on you, but I'll only change bits if it means I can make a better game. I won't change any key story details, just minor tweaks. For example, Jerico's encounter with the Wolf-Man at the beginning of the book will be expanded a bit and made into the first mission. I'll also be adding elements that don't directly influence the plot, but will influence the game. More details will follow in my next post.

Meanwhile, for whoever reads this stuff, here's a list of my resources. These are the other sites I'm using to publish both the campaigns and the music I'm using as the soundtrack.
